Privacy
Short version: no account, no ads, no cookies. Your progress stays on your device. We count anonymous, cookie-free usage and read the feedback you choose to send, to make the games better.
Who we are
BioglowRX Sciences Learning is a free study website run by Clement Metz in Spain. Questions or requests: clementmetz92@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
Your scores, XP, level, day streak and daily goal, the questions you got wrong (for Today's review), certificates, settings such as text size and sound, and the name you type for certificates are saved in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them. A backup code or file from the trophy cabinet contains the same information; it is made on your device and only goes where you put it.
What we collect
| What | Why | Who handles it |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous usage: pages opened, games, rounds and labs played, scores, searches, how you arrived (e.g. an invite link), how many days you have used the site (counted on your device and sent with no ID), and short error messages if something breaks | To see what works and what to improve | PostHog (EU servers), set up without cookies, without session recordings, and without storing IP addresses |
| Feedback you choose to send: game ratings and comments, mistake reports, votes for the next subjects and features | To fix mistakes and decide what to build next | PostHog (EU servers) |
| The optional beta survey, and an email address only if you choose to give one | To understand testers and, if you ask, send occasional updates | Tally (forms) |
We do not collect names, accounts or contact details anywhere else in the games, and we never sell or share data for advertising. Please don't write personal or health information in comments.
The Product Hunt badge at the bottom of each page is an image loaded from Product Hunt, so like any image from another site, Product Hunt receives your browser's standard request (including your IP address). Clicking it takes you to our Product Hunt page.
The "Watch the 90-second tour" video on the home page is played from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing loads from YouTube until you press the button; once you do, YouTube receives your browser's request under its own privacy policy.
Fonts are served from this site, so no request goes to Google or any other font service.
Sharing and invites
Invite and share buttons open the app you pick (for example WhatsApp or email) with a link to the site. We only learn that a link was opened, not who sent or received it.
Legal basis and your rights
Anonymous statistics and feedback rely on our legitimate interest in improving a free educational service. An email address in the survey is only used with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. You can ask us what we hold, or to delete it, by email. You can also complain to the Spanish data-protection authority (AEPD).
Age
The games can be used without giving any personal information. Only people aged 16 or over may give an email address in the survey.
